Machine Games' Jens Matthies has said the studio would be interested in making a sequel to the recently released shooter, Wolfenstein: The New Order.

The revelation came in an interview with GiantBomb, where Matthies admitted there was interest within the studio to build on the recent success of the latest entry in the long-running series.

"We would love to do a sequel. We have a very, very clear idea of what we accomplished with this game, and what we want to accomplish with a sequel," the creative director said.

"I think we were able to polish that diamond a lot more than we have ever been able to in the past, but we still have new ideas for how we can polish it even further," Matthies said later when discussing the importance of making sure game's are as polished as possible. "If there is one grand lesson, it's probably that: to take pre-production even one step further. After the next game, it'll be the same thing again and again. [laughs]"

The latest entry in the series was released just last month, and for the most part we enjoyed being reunited with B.J. Blaskowicz. We'd certainly be up for a sequel.

REVIEW. Written by Mike Holmes

"Machine Games hasn't crafted the perfect shooter, but they've given it a good go and the results are decent."
