It was announced today that Payday 2 is heading to Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The co-op focused heist shooter is making the jump to new-gen consoles in the form of the Crimewave Edition.
The new-gen version of the game will "include enhanced features and a stash of new bonus content." Having said that, we're not exactly sure when it'll be released, and what that bonus content might be.
We reviewed the game last year and, for the most part, thoroughly enjoyed ourselves (you can read our review here). We played the PC version of the game, which has been constantly refreshed with new content over the past year.
Console players haven't been supported as well, but Overkill and 505 are looking to reverse that trend and apparently will soon release some DLC for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game (a trio of content drops that includes The Armored Transport DLC and two Gage Weapon Packs).
