Blizzard eye free-to-play market

According to a report in Develop, Blizzard are planning on embracing the free-to-play market with their next game.

The title may or may not be ‘Project Titan' (a game currently shrouded in mystery), Develop's source didn't clarify that much, but what is clear is that Blizzard has seen which way the tide is going and have decided to experiment with new financial models.

Blizzard recently stabilised its user numbers on World of Warcraft, thanks to a recent switch to free-to-play (up to level 20). The change of fortunes for the MMO has obviously made Blizzard rethink their strategy for future releases as they attempt to wrestle the initiative back from their competitors.
