Those strategic masterminds over at the Creative Assembly have announced the release date for the stand-alone expansion for Total War: Shogun II - The Fall of the Samurai. The game, already available for pre-order on Steam, goes on sale on March 23 and will retail for around £24.99.
Set during 19th century battle between the Imperial throne and the last Shogunate, Fall of the Samurai combines traditional Total War combat with several new gameplay features and a much refined AI.
With the introduction of exciting new units like the Gattling Gun and mercenaries recruited from foreign powers, and with naval combat featuring much more heavily, Fall of the Samurai is a substantial stand-alone expansion that strategy fans should definitely keep an eye on.
