Starcraft II LAN petition

With the news that Starcraft II will not support LAN play fans have been upset, however looking at the "LAN in Starcraft 2 Please" petition the outrage has been kept very civil. And kind words can go a long way sometimes. Blizzard have decided to limit the multiplayer to the new and impressive Battle.net 2.0, perhaps in an attempt to foil those inclined to pirate the game. There are obviously downsides to this as many loyal Starcraft fans have enjoyed LAN battles over the last decade and were looking forward to more of the same in Starcraft II. The closing statement (below) of the petition says a lot about the Starcraft fanbase and perhaps their kind words (with the current number of signatures at 13,000+) will make Blizzard listen.

"Please include LAN functionality in your future classic!"
