As reported yesterday, Capcom's "No Hope Left" viral campaign has stood revealed as the lead up to Resident Evil 6, which was officially announced with a teaser trailer.
Facts so far: Chris Redfield and Leon Kennedy return, and the game will feature a number of playable characters who in series tradation will see their paths cross over the course of the adventure.
It's been 10 years since the Raccoon City incident and the U.S. President is determined to uncover the truth behind it all, but the press conference announcing the review of the incident is hit by a bio-terrorist attack - cue Chris and Leon arriving on the scene to see the President's transformation under a new viral strain.
This time the evil has spread to many places on the globe, and Capcom has tried to strike a balance between the series' horror roots and the latest iterations' more action-packed structure. In the trailer we can see Leon visit a small town full of infected zombies, and these sequences appear to be very atmospheric. We can also see Chris tackling terrorists and assorted monsters in China, along with their team members.
Resident Evil 6 is due for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 20th. Expect more information about the game in the next few days, but for now check out the first trailer now:
