Now the site, Gamasutra has alerted fans to the news, book publishers Tor Books will be releasing a Bioshock book. Exactly who the author will be remains a mystery, but lead designer for 2K Games Boston (formerly Irrational Games), Ken Levine, has been hinted in several press releases.

Publishing company, Tor Books is renowned for having released a number of literary gaming titles, among others Halo and Dragon Age, but has also churned out more identifiable science fiction and fantasy titles written by the likes of Orson Scott Card and Robert Jordan. The upcoming Bioshock book, cover to cover will have just over 400 pages and be available in both hard and soft versions. It's also expected to be out in time to coincide with the release of the game's sequel.
