A listing in a Microsoft database that shows compatibility between software and Windows, has revealed a possible port of Rockstar's western-themed title, Red Dead Redemption.

The Windows Compatibility Centre helps users assess which games work on which versions of Windows. Why Red Dead Redemption is in there remains unclear. Rockstar are set to hold a financial call tomorrow, so perhaps we'll know more then.

Neogaf user Lazaro spotted the listing while trawling through the website, and followed up the initial post with an update, suggesting that Microsoft had called the listing a "mistake" that "should possibly get removed" from the database either today or tomorrow.

What this means is equally unclear. Was the listing made by Rockstar, by Microsoft, or by a hopeful user? We'll await further news on the matter, but we won't be holding our breath.
