Bandai Namco has confirmed an annual profit of £145 million in their latest financial report, at the same time confirming the best performing game of the year is Dark Souls II; the hard-as-nails RPG shifted around 1.2 million copies worldwide.

While the company posted a healthy revenue of ¥507 billion / £2.9 billion, profits were actually down 22.6% on last year. The publisher had a series a big-hitting games in their native Japanese market, with Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle joining handheld success stories Disney Magic Castle: My Happy Life (3DS) and God Eater 2 (PS Vita) all selling in excess of 500k units.

All told it looks like it was a decent year for the company that covers video games as well as arcades and toys. The company confirmed in their latest financial report that the Mobile Gundam franchise netted them the most money (¥80.2 billion / £464 million).
