One of the more interesting tidbits to emerge from Activision Blizzard's latest financial report was the news that Destiny will be entering beta in July.

As we reported yesterday, Activision are making a $500 million bet with Bungie's post-Halo vision. The shared-world shooter, which is set to launch on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 on September 9, is set to become the most expensive game ever made (though it's safe to assume that subsequent releases in the series will be considerably cheaper to make).

The beta will be open to those who have already pre-ordered the game, with PlayStation owning gamers set to be the first to dip their toe into the water.

We recently took a trip to Bungie's studio and were among the first in the world to get hands-on with Destiny. To find out more about the sci-fi shooter, head this way.
