A Realm Reborn reaches 2 million registered accounts

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn now has in excess of 2 million registered accounts. The game is out now on PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 (even Vita via remote play) - having seen release on PS4 earlier this week.
The wording makes it sound as if beta accounts is factored into the number, and it is entirely possible that the recent PS4 beta helped artificially beef up the numbers somewhat, but still for a subscription based MMORPG these days the number is encouraging.
