Marty O'Donnell who served as audio lead at Bungie on Destiny and started working for the company as far back as Myth II has tweeted that he's no longer employed by Bungie.

"I'm saddened to say that Bungie's board of directors terminated me without cause on April 11, 2014."

O'Donnell joined the company full-time just days prior to Microsoft picking up the company in 1999 making O'Donnell one of very few Bungie employees to still work at the company since those days. But alas he no longer works there.

There is no official comment from Bungie at this point.

Update: Bungie have issued the following statement:

"For more than a decade, Marty O'Donnell filled our worlds with unforgettable sounds and soundtracks, and left an indelible mark on our fans. Today, as friends, we say goodbye. We know that wherever his journey takes him, he will always have a bright and hopeful future.

We wish him luck in all his future endeavors."
