EA and Bioware have released some numbers to illustrate the success of their recent release Star Wars: The Old Republic.
So far players have spent more than 28 million hours in the game, created more than 3.8 million characters (including 510,000 Jedi Knights and 550,000 Sith Warriors), and more than 2 billion NPC's have been killed.
The average play sessions lasts for 5 hours, despite issues with overly full servers. EA and Bioware calls it the fastest growing subscription based MMO ever, which given the success of World of Warcraft just over 7 years ago is a major feat.
