Last night it was revealed that Facebook had bought Oculus VR, the company behind the Oculus Rift headset, paying $400 million in cash and an approximate $1.6 billion in Facebook stocks.
In the wake of the announcement there appears to be one less game heading to the virtual reality platform, after Markus "Notch" Persson confirmed that talks to bring Minecraft to the Oculus VR headset had been cancelled.
In a post on Twitter Notch said: "We were in talks about maybe bringing a version of Minecraft to Oculus. I just cancelled that deal. Facebook creeps me out."
It's worth noting that the game recently launched on PlayStation 3. Following Sony's recent announcement of their own virtual reality headset - Project Morpheus - don't rule out Minecraft landing on a VR headset in the future, even if it's not on Oculus Rift.
