They say that winning the praise of your peers is the highest accolade you can wish for and as such the Game Developer's Choice Awards (held each year at GDC) must be the top honours bestowed on any video game. This year it was Naughty Dog and The Last of Us that walked away with the most coveted prize - Game of the Year. The Last of Us also won Best Narrative, and Best Game Design. The creator of Feminist Frequency, Anita Sarkeesian, was award the Ambassador Award, while "the father of PlayStation", Ken Kutaragi was given the Lifetime Achievement Award. Lucas Pope won two awards for Papers, Please - the Innovation and Best Downloadable Game awards, while Kerbal Space Program walked away with the Audience Award. The Fullbright Company (Gone Home) won Best Debut, making this a very strong night for indie developers at the Game Developer's Choice Awards.
