Warner working on Minecraft movie

Hoping for a Lego The Movie scale success.

Deadline reports that Warner have come to agreement with Swedish developer Mojang over a movie based on the extremely popular Minecraft. Citing studio sources Roy Lee (Lego The Movie) and Jill Messick (Mean Girls) are producers and apparently this is set to be a "live action" film (really?).

Details are scarce at this point, but as always with video game to movie adaptation we're maintaining healthy levels of scepticism.

As always Markus "Notch" Persson took to Twitter to comment/confirm the leak:

"Someone is trying leak the fact that we're working with Warner Brothers on a potential Minecraft Movie. I wanted to be the leak!"
