It looks as though Ubisoft has censored the console version of their own game, with content set to be omitted from console version of South Park: The Stick of Truth (but not, it should be said, the PC version, which remains unaffected).

It appears as though the decision to censor certain content was made by Ubisoft EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), and console owners will not be able to play through five scenes that involve anal probing, or other scenes where the player performs and is subject to an abortion.

Removed content will be replaced by an image background and a descriptive piece of text selected by Matt Parker and Trey Stone, according to Ubisoft.

Much of the content that has been removed from the new South Park RPG - which launches on Xbox 360, PC and PS3 next month - was outlined late last year when the game was being rated by the ESRB.

We previewed the game just the other day, and you can read that here. Now, here's a lengthy trailer that shows off the first thirteen minutes of the game...
