MMO fans have got something to look forward to, after Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn launched on a brace of platforms.

The full retail version of the overhauled MMORPG has just landed on PC via Steam, and for the next week it's half price (Standard Edition £9.99/£19.99 & Collector's Edition £17.49/£34.99). Included in that price is the first month of subscription.

At the same time as launching on PC, the PlayStation 4 finally catches up with PC and PS3. The beta version of the game should be made available to download later today ahead of the beta weekend starting on February 22 (We'll be checking through the day, and will update if and when the download appears).

Square Enix are offering American PSN users the chance to download the client in preparation for the weekend event, which precedes the game's launch on the console in April. Check out our recent preview for more details.
