Last week we revealed that Nordic retailers were preparing to start taking pre-orders for the still unannounced PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. Now it appears that UK retailers are preparing to get in on the act, and it's looking like GTA V on PC is about to happen.
A source from High Street retail has confirmed to us they're preparing to offer pre-orders on the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V, and while they weren't prepared to offer any specific dates, we were told that it would be happening soon.
Our earlier report indicated that stores all operated by the same company (Dixons Retail UK) would be offering pre-orders across the Nordic region at the end of last week - although subsequently that campaign has reportedly been postponed to a later date.
Our new source's suggestion that UK retail would soon be taking pre-orders further cements the likelihood that an announcement is on its way, especially when Czech retailer SuperGamer is listing the game along with a release date of June 13.
Of course, there's been some retailers talking pre-orders for the game in an unofficial capacity for some time now, but everything we're hearing points at an official campaign on the horizon. However, there's still no official word from Rockstar, who has neither confirmed or denied the PC port of last year's best selling game. But with evidence steadily mounting it's looking increasingly likely that PC gamers will soon be able to get the hands on one of last year's 10/10 games.
