According to Gamesindustry's unnamed sources Swedish developer Starbreeze Studios are working on a new version of the classic Peter Molyneux title Syndicate. It was announced last year that Starbreeze had signed a deal with EA concerning a new version of a classic EA franchise and Syndicate alongside System Shock were the early favourites.

Gamereactor has also heard several inside sources in the Swedish development community mention that Starbreeze are working on a new Syndicate, but so far we have heard nothing from either Starbreeze or EA.

The game that goes under the working title Project RedLime is heading for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 and it will likely not be done until late 2010 at the earliest. Whether it actually is a new Syndicate or not remains to be seen, but chances are the rumours are true.
