Following on from criticism of Forza Motorsport 5's economy, where the most expensive exotic cars could take an age to unlock, Turn 10 are implementing an update that should reduce the cost of these cars, as well as introducing a couple of new multiplayer modes.

According to the report on IGN, car prices should drop up to 45%. "We based our economy largely on Forza Motorsport 4 data," creative director Dan Greenawalt told the site.

"The earn rate [in Forza 5] should have been the same," he explained, but because of shifting player patterns, earn rates are different and it was taking players longer to unlock the most desirable cars.

For players that are enjoying racing online, there's new modes coming in the same update. Multiplayer modes ‘Keep the It', ‘Pass the It' and ‘Tag Virus' are all variants of tag, and ‘Drag Racing' supports up to 16 players in one lobby, with one-on-one duels or up to eight cars on the same drag strip.

The update is due this month, and may even land as early as next week. You can read our review of the game here.
