I played Age of Conan for nearly a year. I did everything there was to be done in the game many times over.

I can because of that give a fair review due to extensive experience. You won't look far to find a great number of angry players who have tried this game. I'm not just talking people who did not enjoy the game I am really saying they are angry.

I do believe I could write a book about how and why Age of Conan has failed. Yes I know the game still has servers open but it in essence really has failed. If you want to feel free to do the research on your own it really doesn't take long to find many reviews by players explaining everything.

Long story short the game since launch is plagued with bugs like you can not believe. The server populations took a major dive and are barely supporting an active population. The classes are in a state of complete imbalance. There is a large lack of content. Bugged raids. Game economy is horrible. Mounts are useless. Community is terrible. PVP is usually just gank squads. This game is hacked to hell.

There that was the short version to sum it up. That may not sound bad but please if you feel you want to try the game or already are and happen to be one of the few who enjoy it good for you.

Some positive things that can be said about AOC:
- Really innovative combat system
- Some fun raids (when not bugged)
- Great graphics likely the best for any MMO
- Dark violent and sexy
- Fans of Robert E. Howard may really enjoy the experience

Overall:
I do not advise anyone to try this game. People call Funcom Failcom with good reason. Do some research on your own it will confirm everything I stated.
