Bad Movie Night
Posts in thread: 12GR® | If you read my recent blog (http://www.gamereactor.eu/blogs/mike+holmes/) you'll know that I occasionally attend a Bad Movie Night, where the worst of cinema is celebrated by like minded masochists. We recently savoured Dolph Lundgren's Command Performance, a film about a metal drummer who saves the Russian president from terrorists. It's so frickin terrible it's awesome. We also watch a Godfrey Ho double bill that included Ninja Terminator and Undefeatable. I'm still recovering. If anyone's got that lot beat, we want to hear about it here. Please share your terrible discoveries. |

GR® | I'm due to see the latest Resident Evil movie this weekend. Updates (and perhaps tears) after. |

King Kong lives, Orca, Attack of the super monsters. - all recommendations of movie bob of Big Picture fame. Haven't seen any of them but all look awesomely awful. Especially Attack of the super monsters.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | American Psycho 2 starring Mila Kunis. A great option if you want a movie to ruin the legacy of an interesting (and gross) book. I'm glad I saw it though, as watching an occasional bad movie reminds me of why I love those films I call "my favorites". "I'm gonna go have a smoke right now. You want a smoke? You don't smoke, do ya, right? What are ya, one of those fitness freaks, huh? Go fuck yourself." |

I feel that it is important to watch bad movies. How else can you measure the good ones? Saw Gangster Squad last weekend. That was pretty bad but probably not bad enough for 'bad movie night'. How about Kevin Smith's 'Red State'? That was the worst excuse for a horror movie I've ever seen. It tries so hard to be relevant and be an important social commentary but just comes across as muddled and pretentious. Worst of all its made by a director I love and who should know better.

GR® | Thanks Baltharan. Had my eye on Gangster Squad, think i'll give it a miss if it's "pretty bad". |

Last truly awful movie, I saw, was Iron Sky. It really annoyed me, as it had such great potential, but the execution was just absolutely horrible!!

GR® | Killer Klowns From Outer Space. |

Killer clowns indeed! I'm looking for suggestions for bad video game movies, I have already gathered some pretty awful game-movies: alone in the dark (Christian Slater not giving a f**k), D.O.A, streetfighter (obviously), Teken, Super Mario Bro. I welcome any suggestions that top those.

^Basically any movie that was once a video game^ I tried watching M. Night Shyamalan 'Lady in The Water' - think I lasted about 30mins. That guy had so much promise a decade ago. What the hell happened?

| Strategist Community Manager | I recently watched The Room. Finally. It's bizarre, like all of Tommy Wiseau's productions. It's hard to figure out wether he's eccentric or if he's mad. That sex-scene didn't seem to have any purpose whatsoever in the movie. But then again the purpose of most scenes in the movie were at best elusive. ••• Abusus non tollit usum! ••• Moderatorsjef @ Gamereactor® |
